Hi there! I’m Griff, a Certified Integral® coach.

About
Griff Foxley, MBA

Business & Integral Coach

I’m committed to supporting others to navigate critical transitions in their work and personal lives, and to see themselves and their context more clearly. I support clients to live in greater alignment with their values, and to set up the systems necessary for achieving their goals.

I’m a New Yorker born-and-bred, a Los Angeleno for the bulk of my adult life, and I now live in the mountains of Colorado with my wife and three young kids.

I lean on a versatile combo of insights in business and creativity – and the tools and practices learned over 25 years – to build self-awareness and accelerate growth for my clients.

A Winding Entrepreneurship Journey

I’m a certified Integral® Coach, an entrepreneur and former COO, a strategic adviser, a writer and poet, and a champion for the cause of justice via longtime service on the boards of two foundations. For 10 years, I helped build and run a food production and ecommerce business which I still co-own. I received an MBA in Sustainable Management, before which I served in a variety of content, communications, and branding roles.

How I Came to Coaching

Througout my 20+ year career, I have partnered with four diverse coaches. Each brought me such propulsion, meaning, insight, and success. One coach trained me in project design: the tactical practice of stating and writing your big hairy goal, specifically, then mapping all the resources, milestones, and small action steps required to succeed. With this system and his accountability, I got the COO title and started publishing poetry in respectable literary journals. Another coach later in my life entrained me to deep visionary mindfulness techniques that supported me feeling rich attunement in my life and work.

I harvested such immense value from these coaching partnerships. During a career transition in early 2020, I realized my unique combination of competencies and experiences were inimitably suited to being a coach myself.

FAQs

  • My clients range in their demographic info.

Many are at pivotal or transitional moments in their careers, and in their personal lives. At work they may be taking on more leadership, scaling, creating something bold, or otherwise nurturing a big career change. In their personal lives, they often seek to show up differently, for themselves and in their relationships. They often contend with communication challenges and mindset disruption.

It’s been an honor and a privilege to support my clients in achieving the pinnacle of their aspirations.

  • Being an Integral Coach means I invite my clients to bring their whole self to the coaching work. This enables our partnership to be ‘about’ any and all things that are ‘up’ for them in this moment.

I support them in making sustainable progress on long-term, large-scope projects.

I encourage deepened awareness of and capacity for the emotional landscape of work and personal relationships.

I help develop the leadership and communication skills necessary for effective growth and success.

I offer accountability at practices of self-care and growth, nurtured with greater frequency and positive impact towards deepened connection to a meaningful somatic intelligence.

And with my business and MBA experience, I bring consulting-like frameworks and techniques to open opportunities for growth and advancement.

  • Here’s how my Integral® Coaching methodology responds to the big question: how do we grow, and by what mindset shifts do we make meaningful change?

People come to coaching with a pivotal aspiration. We want to uplevel our career. We want to find our purpose. We want to take care of ourselves. We want to be better parents, partners, people.

Whatever the aspiration, successful achievement depends upon movement along two axes.

The horizontal axis is how we do or don’t get things done. This is the domain of productivity, of project design and SMART goals, of tactically visioning an ideal future and drawing the map of a successful approach, of day-by-day pursuing the next right move.

The vertical axis is whether our way of being is aligned with the aspiration, whether our inner compass is dialed. This is the domain of deeper questions: what’s my “why”, does this situation light me up, and do I have hidden mindsets keeping me from succeeding.

My “why” — and the methodology of Integral® Coaching supports this — is to derive a just-right combination of these axis strategies to grow and empower ourselves.

  • I offer a bespoke partnership depending on what is needed. Generally, the process looks like this:

    1) we have a 15-minute ‘chemistry call’ to get to know each other

    2) we have an intake session, maybe two, maybe three, where we converse and explore all aspects of your life and way of being

    3) based on the input from the intake, I then create and invite you into a unique and powerful narrative reframe and development plan

    4) we then spend a minimum of 10-12 sessions working together on developing and engraining the new way of being

For some clients, the partnership ends or pauses there. For others, it is only the beginning of a longer partnership.

  • I offer a free ‘chemistry call’ so that we can discuss your situation and you can get your questions answered.
